Tanzania Golf Union and The Peninsula Club advance national player development through club data collection initiative

Tanzania Golf Union and The Peninsula Club have launched a joint initiative to advance national player development by collecting and analysing club-level player data across Tanzania. The programme aims to standardise data gathering on participation, performance and demographics from member clubs to identify talent, inform coaching priorities and track progress nationwide. By centralising information, the initiative seeks to improve talent identification, support targeted training and resource allocation, and strengthen pathways from grassroots to elite competition. The partnership emphasises capacity building for clubs in data collection and reporting, with the long-term goal of raising standards, increasing participation and enhancing Tanzania’s competitiveness in regional and international golf.
